Adding characters at the end of multiple lines in Vim

Quite often it's useful to know how to add some characters at the end of multiple lines in Vim. Luckily, there is a simple command that can help out:

:%norm Acharacters I want to Add

Of course, instead of adding characters at the end of all lines (note %), you can select some lines with Shift-v and issue the command after introducing with :.
